I'd like to introduce you to Chad David Simmonds- The Reverend, Professor of life, Ores man Supremo etcetera etcetera otherwise knows as my cousin Chad or even 'Uncle Chad' which is what we have rcently decided on. Ever since I was young the best things about my summers where when my cousins Chad and Kent came over from Houston, interestingly enough I lived with them for a while when I was younger, and although they used to bully me and torment me they are 'Bloody Brilliant' in Erika's English accent which isn't truly atrocious. According to Chad I bit him on the bum and called him a bastard! I really don't know how true this story actually is. My Uncle Dave brought me this amazing flying toy which they used to try and steal from me, so I'd tread on there little army men. I was about 4. Another little story is that, at that age I was unable to play on the Sega Megadrive and really wanted to, so Chad gave me an unplugged controller and told me I won, which is a nice thing to do by horrible means. Anyway Chad is my mentor or going to be my mentor, I'm not sure what he will mentor me on but probably in just general being.
He lives in Montreal with his lovely girlfriend Erika and on Monday I came to the conclusion that she was a very good egg. I've spent the last few days with them pretty much being a tour guide and now and then in putting the odd joke or two, even trying to break down certain sayings that don't make sense. So for instance 'There's nothing more different that apples and oranges' this saying did infuriate Chad a fair amount.
On Monday we took a trip to Stratford-Unpon-Avon, we saw Kenilworth Castle and Anne Hathaways cottage then into Stratford town where we had lunch and we decided to treat our Auntie Cal to a boat ride along the River Avon. This is how Chad became the ores man supremo, he was genuinely a very good ores man and performed some truly good manoeuvres along the River Avon. On the way back we played 20 questions which I must say I was bloody good at. We treated our Auntie and Uncle to an Indian take-away and then the three of us headed to The Rock pub (Kent's discovery) for a drink and so they could check the view.
Then Tuesday we went to see our nan and look at some old pictures, and now Chad and Erika have gone off to London for a few days then are flying back to Montreal. It was ridiculously good seeing Chad again and meeting his girlfriend. There so interesting and just my kind of people and Chad is obviously my favourite cousin. I literally could have talked to them for hours and subsequently did. I have been invited to stay with them, so I am going to save my pennies and go and stay with them which will be amazing.
