Well they say being a third year in University is the most stressful thing ever, well they would be true. The work load is insane but I actually think that so far I this has been my favourite year at University. I am living in a lovely little house, with incredible friends and just having a lot of fun. I have definitely being going out a lot more this year than any of my previous years, which probably isn't the best idea as this is my most important year of study. I will probably be ruing myself in years to come when I have a third in my degree but at the moment things are so good.
On Friday, Amarni and I went to see our favourite band in the entire world Bon Iver in Manchetser, I think both being huge fans of Bon Iver really cemented our friendship. Amarni's lovely friend from home Jasmine put us up for the night and met us at Picadilly Station and in true Manchester style it was raining and I had no hood or umbrella, I think I ran over a total of 5 people feet with my suitcase. After we had some food Amarni and I got ready and went to the MEN arena, I think it's safe to say I found my way relatively easily, I definitely have a good sense of direction. The night before the gig I found out that one of my new favourite bands The Staves were supporting Bon Iver, so I was possibly the most excited I have ever been for a gig and I have been to a lot. The Staves were incredible, their harmonies are the best I have ever heard, and Bon Iver were just... I actually don't have the words. Justin Vernon's performance of Woods, was absolutely phenomenal. I just, I have no words.
After the gig we all went out in Manchester to Antwerp House, and again it was bloody amazing there was a jazz band playing all these incredible songs. The Mansion was filled with sofas and piano's and old televisions and computers. Amarni and I were completely in our element. Well there is a little update and here is a few pictures:

Choice Notes
Watch Listen Tell, is amazing. This is one of my favourites, this version, is even better than the actual version. I'm very pleased that she sounds so good live, cause han and I have won two free tickets to go and see her live. Which is obviously amazing, not only that but it's in Manchester and I'm hoping you know how I feel about Manchester. It's bloody amazing. So definitely taking a cheeky little trip to big hands, which I'm very happy about.
One of the things about this video that I really enjoy is the guy shaking what is probably a maraca but to be it looks like he's shaking an egg. He looks like he couldn't care less, I find it really funny.

A day full of journey's
Han and I had an interesting chat on the bus from Chorlton Comehardy to the center of Manchester. First we chatted about the previous nights shenanigans and how amazing Big Hands was.We decided that we should open our own Big Hands style bar, in Wolverhampton. Let's face it there is nowhere good to go in Wolverhampton unless you like chart hits, dub step and generally rubbish music (no harm intended by that). So to go alongside the old book shop, Han and I pinky promised that, we'd open a cool bar with loads of continental beers and relaxed good music. So watch out, you never know what's on the horizon.
Monday and Tuesday
I'd really like to tell you about my Monday and Tuesday of this week. I went to dot-to-dot in Manchester. First of it was amazing I probably had the best time of my life. I went with my best friend Hannah, who's me in white form and Beth who is a idiot! (it's a good thing don't worry).
First we saw loads of amazing bands like my favourites We Are Scientists, Darwin Deez, Trophy Wife, Wolf Gang and loads more. We went to a bar next door for a cheap drink called Big Hands (I'd definitely recommend it) Casually Adam from Hurts walks in and a while later Keith and Andy from We are scientists are there. I spoke to them and was on cloud nine especially seen as I've had a huge crush on Keith ever since I was 15. We met the manager of Big Hands and his lovely dog Elvis and his friends who were all lovely. Lots of drinks and a bottle of Jagermeister later, we were still going strong (well Beth wasn't.) We met a man outside the kebab shop next door who could hardly believe three friends could all be vegetarians, but it was true. He said he knew the owner of the kebab shop and could get us anything we liked, we had chips, naan, salad, drinks all for free which highly annoyed the other customers who were waiting for 45 minutes to get there food they'd payed for. So next time you take a trip to Manchester, pop into big hands and say Hi from me. Best night of my life. Sorry for the abnormally long post, I just had to get it all out there.
