Kerouac The Great

I brought 'On the Road' by Jack Kerouac on Tuesday afternoon and had finished it by last night. It is such a brilliant book, I think it may be my favourite book of all time. Bob Dylan said 'It changed him' and I completely understand what he means. On The Road is written with such exuberance and hyperactivity you find yourself reading it ridiculously fast. The book deals with jazz, drugs, dynamics of friendships and travelling. After I finished reading it all I wanted to do was get on the road myself, to see what characters I'd come across and things I'd do. It's a brilliant book and you should definitely give it a read
