Yesterday, my pals and I went out, I had a ridiculously large amount of alcohol and I enjoyed myself a great deal. I'm not here to tell you about that part of yesterday, I'm going to tell you about my walk home.  But first, I remember being about 15 in my R.E classes and we were doing about morals, and our teacher said something along the lines of 'If you found a purse on the street, what would you do?' Everyone was saying, 'I'd definitely hand it in, I think!' However much as I am now, I was very cynical about the situation and my response went something like this 'People aren't really that good, if nobody was around and they saw a purse or a phone etc they would definitely take it, there is only a small minority that would give it in.' At the time I didn't know if I would fall into the Give it back category or the keep it. Well Friday night this scenario was played out, and I fall into the give it back category.  We were walking back from the club with my flatmates and I saw a friend of mine so I went up to chat and meet his friends and my old flatmates were there. We were talking for a ridiculously long time and all joking etc, I'd like to add by this point I was feeling a little ill (alcohol induced.) I got invited to this House Party, but decided not to go and just go home. On the way back I saw a phone on the street, an iphone 4, I was thinking to myself, do I pick it up or do I leave it for somebody to steal or give back to the person. I came to the conclusion that I would take it and give it back to the owner. I text the last person who the owner of the phone was texting, to inform them that I had the phone and I would keep it safe until she could come and collect it, which she did this afternoon. She thanked me and said that a lot of people would have probably just stolen it. So since my good deed, I have been feeling pretty pleased with myself, and I thought I would share my little good deed with you.
