I deserve

A slap on the wrist if truth be told. I do not make a habit of not keeping my promises; obviously I'm referring to my lack of blog post. I love blogging, which is why I am a little annoyed at myself for not continuing; so on with the post.

Any of my friends will tell you that I have quite a liking for tea, actually strike that 'quite a liking' is definitely not strong enough to describe how I feel about tea maybe obsession is more apt. I definitely fall into the category of British people who think tea can solve everything. It is the perfect medicine. One of my favourite things to do is go out for afternoon tea, it such a treat. Sitting with a few friends, over a pot of tea and some incredibly tasty treats, my personal favourite would be a scone with jam and clotted cream or a slice of coffee cake just in case you wanted to know. I absolutely love trying new teas, whether it be a fruit tea, a black tea, basically any type of tea. I have a little bit of a love for Darjeeling and I try to get fellow tea lovers onto it, so far I think I've done quite well; my friends Liv and Matt seem to quite enjoy it. Speaking of Liv and Matt, I must tell you about this incredible tea shop we went to in Liverpool. It's called Leaf, and it has a wide range of teas all of which are brilliant, they also do food which is delicious. If you are in Liverpool and a fellow tea lover, get yourself down there; you will not regret it. I had a lovely Jasmine Pearl tea from there and it was divine, it really was. Actually on a recent visit to stay with one of my beautiful friends Liv, I am ashamed to say we went for afternoon 3 times on a 5 day visit; what am I saying I am not ashamed to say it, I am quite proud. Another tea shop you must go to if your near it is Mad Hatter's tea shop in Chester; for one it's Alice in Wonderland themed, I recommend everybody to go there. The staff there are very friendly, the lady who did the baking kindly gave Liv and I the recipe for her delicious Rolo cakes. While there I tried for the first time Laspsang Souchong tea, it is definitely a bit of a mouthful to say. It's a beautiful Chinese tea, the smell is absolutely incredible it is smoke-dried over pinewood fires and it gives the tea such a smoky flavour. There are some incredible teas out there and I think I am making it my lifetime mission to try as many as possible. Tea is my medicine, it makes everything seem better, even if it is only for a little while.
