Well as you all know The Olympics are currently being held in London, and it is absolutely fantastic. In all honesty I have never really bothered with The Olympics, and I wasn't entirely bothered by it. Well how times have changed, for one I now consider myself an expert on multiple events especially rowing. I have been thoroughly enthralled by The Olympics, the starting point was the incredible opening ceremony, directed by the incredible Danny Boyle. I'd recently mentioned Danny Boyle in a previous blog post about his direction of Frankenstein at The National Theatre and after his direction of Frankenstein I didn't think I could love him more. Well turns out I can. He is utterly brilliant, such a talented man, the opening ceremony was absolutely captivating, showing British history; I couldn't have been more proud to be British. Then I must have been literally bit by The Olympic bug, don't misunderstand me, I'm not going to start to do sports myself, well saying that I did use my mums skipping rope and hula hoop last night, so you never know I may be in Rio in 2016 if there is an event obviously. I think it's absolutely fantastic that were are holding The Olympics and Great Britain have been doing so well in the events, I've been enjoying every second of it. I really want to go down to London, to Hyde Park and watch some of the events on the big screen they have there. Just soak up some of the atmosphere. Go team GB!
